Girl Scout Cookies!

Today was girl scout cookies delivery day. 2 boxes of Thin Mints, 2 boxes of Samoas, and 1 box of All About. This is how heaven is defined. Yet, it isn't only the cookies that make me so happy. It is all of the wonderful things that are associated with them.

I used to love to sell girl scout cookies. We had a big troop, so the surrounding neighborhood was always slim pickings, but I enjoyed it anyway. The year I sold the most boxes, I only sold 13, and I was on my death bed. I was in 1st grade and I contracted scarlet fever. I couldn't even sit up in bed, and yet I diligently sold cookies over the phone. The tragedy in this story is that, even though I was selling cookies as I was on the brink of death, they didn't give me a patch. Sheer tragedy. But what can you do?

I still love this time of year. I love girl scout cookies, girl scout cookie ice cream, remembering sitting out side of grocery stores. I can't pass a store and not buy cookies, I want to help those little girls who are being denied patches. Buy some cookies, save a little girl's hopes and dreams!
